The topic for this spring semester's "Topics in Global Studies" seminar (GS 400) will be "Crossing Borders: Culture, Politics, and Identity." The seminar will, through readings and films, provide participants opportunities to explore the complicated and multifaceted character of a number of "border" spaces, from geographical to intellectual to academic spaces. The seminar is open to everyone, though it is recommended that students be at least junior standing. The course will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:55 to 5:15.
