Fulbright Meeting

If you would like to find out more information about the Fulbright Program and how and when to apply, please come to an informational meeting on Wednesday, April 8th at 4pm in Morton Hall 204.

The Fulbright Program provides opportunities for study, research, and teaching abroad. The Program is sponsored by the United States State Department and provided 6,000 scholarships in 2007.

Congratulations to Lauren Pegues!

Lauren Pegues, a student at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, has received a scholarship from the Critical Languages Scholarship Program to study Arabic this summer. This very selective program is sponsored by the United States Department of State and Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and is administered by the Council of American Overseas Research Centers(CAORC).

The CLS Program is part of the National Security Language Initiative (NSLI), a U.S. government interagency effort to increase the number of Americans studying and mastering critical need foreign languages.
